1. In some places in Africa people greet each other by spitting in their face.
2.In the Middle Ages kissing was a common greeting.
3.In the olden times soldiers used to hold their weapons in their right hands.
4.In Japan people bow to each other when they meet.
Thinking about it
1.It is important to learn to greet people because if you spit in someone's face when they're not African they will be furious.
2.A Dutchman was surprised because he had to kiss a cat.
3.Japanese people bow to show respect and to check out different styles of shoes.
Thinking it through
1. I found it most interesting that in Africa people spit in people's faces to greet people. I found this interesting and weird.
2. The headings and the pictures helped me find information.
3. Bowing would make a good heading for the last paragraph because it gives information about people bowing.
