As you know George, Stricken and Wicken are very inquisitive but Wallambimbi has greater discretion. The three of them walked through the dry, sandy outback with salty sweat dripping down their faces. Slowly they walked towards the shrub where they could smell dust and bird poo. Quickly Wicken poked a stick into a magpies nest. There was a huge startle and what turned out to be a remarkable fight. The magpie repeatedly pecked at his opponent's ears but eventually Stricken landed in the bush holding the missing knife in the air!
